We have partnered with the Southern Illinois Community Foundation (SICF) to help us in creating and managing endowments such as scholarships.
SICF is a nationally accredited organization that meets the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations http://www.cfstandards.org/
This partnership will allow the District 186 Education Foundation to focus its time on our community efforts rather than spending our time developing a legal and financial side of a quality foundation.
The SICF mission is to foster and encourage private philanthropic giving to improve the communities of the southern Illinois region by connecting charitable donors with worthy causes and to build permanent endowment funds that will support those worthy causes.
