Scholarships
Scholarships are an important piece of the education puzzle. Scholarships help alleviate the financial burden of higher education as well as motivating and rewarding academic excellence. The Murphysboro Education Foundation, along with the Southern Illinois Community Foundation, manages several scholarship funds as well as assisting in the creation of new scholarships. The Murphysboro High School guidance department is another great resource for information and assistance on available scholarship opportunities.
Foundation Scholarship
Funds
The Murphysboro Education Foundation has partnered with the Southern Illinois Education Foundation (SICF) to create new scholarships and to manage existing scholarships. The SICF partnership brings many resources and expertise to our mission of serving the teachers and students of District 186. The partnership allows the Education Foundation's volunteer board to focus on our mission rather than managing the regulations and legalities involved with the scholarship process.
